First day back we had a Guest talk called Anya talk to us about diorama. She discussed her process and how she approached them.  The key points I took away from the talk is the 7 elements of design which I previously knew but had forgotten. I think that referring back to these 7 things will help me in my development stage.

Second thing was thinking about composition and movement within the scene. I think composition is important within a scene because It guides the viewer to where you want them to look. She mentioned a book called Canon of design which I might check out. Adding movement to the scene just brings it to life more which could make the scene feel more realistic. Movement within my scene is something I definitely want to try and do. Movement could also add story within your scene.

After the Talk we had a chance to make a start on our project. I shortened my ideas down to three main ones. The first idea I had was a hospital scene. I think it would really test me on lighting indoor scenes. But I think the idea is a bit to simple. I still need to research and gather my reference images before I decide.

My second and third one I wanted to merge into one scene. It was a gas station and a motel. Thinking about it know it might be to busy to fit into one scene. I feel like my hero asset for this one could be a car.
